Weller's WXMPS Smart Micro Soldering Iron is a unique 2-in-1 soldering tool with 40 W that is compatible for almost all Pico & Micro soldering applications from smallest to standard component sizes.
It can be used with Weller's Tip Family RTPS MS for very small Pico applications, and RTMS MS Tip Family for micro applications.
The smart Micro Soldering Iron WXMPS MS uses Weller's Active Tip Technology (cartridge) for an optimized heat transfer with 40W maximum power, 12V performance.
The extremely fast 3-second heat-up time delivers excellent heat transfer and recovery time during the soldering process for a high-performance continuous workflow.
Short tip-to-grip distance provides maximum precision during the soldering process.
Optimal sensor position close to the solder tip provides an excellent heat transfer, maximum power and recovery time.
More than 40 smart universal soldering tip shapes and sizes that are connectable to just one soldering iron, with no need for additional tools.
Identification of the connected tool is fast and simple due to integrated RGB-lights.
Easily customize the light colors to your own preference.
All connected tools and accessories are detected automatically by the stations.
In-use tools are shown by both photo and text on the large station display.
Up to 10 parameter settings can be customized and stored in the soldering iron, including standby temperatures and automatic switch-off times.
The parameter setting remains on the iron, regardless of the station being used.
The patented Weller RT cartridge Tips can be changed quickly without the need for additional tools, stand or pad, despite hot temperature conditions.
The soldering iron goes into "standby mode" when not in use.
Simply move the iron to regain the it's working temperature within seconds.
The WXUPS (military standard) smart soldering irons & soldering tips are fully compliant with IPC industry standards (IPC - TM-650 2.5.33 Measurement of Electrical Overstress from Soldering Hand Tools) and are also MIL-SPEC compliant.
