Orange desiccant bags consist of a low-dust water vapour permeable material.
The active bulk material consist to 90 % of Silica Gel white and to 10 % of Silica Gel Orange. It adsorbs the water vapour.
Depending on temperature and relative humidity the desiccant bags can adsorb up to 1/3 of their own weight of water vapour.
Starting from a water content of 6 % up to 15 % Orange changes colour from Orange to green. A complete saturation is shown by a green- blue colour.

The special nonwoven fabric is transparent. Therefore, it allows the user to conduct an optical control of the degree of saturation at any time. Due to the continuous filament of polyester the special nonwoven fabric has a high tearing strength.
