Entrance control systems help monitoring the equipment of the staff according to ESD standards.
They ensure that only employees with appropriate and functional personnel grounding are allowed to enter the EPA.
The footwear tester is integrated in the housing of the turnstile. By touching a sensing device, both ESD shoes are tested separately through measuring electrodes that are installed in the contact mat.
Entrance:
After approval by the test station the turnstile is moved by the operator's body pushing lightly against an arm.
Exit:
The turnstile can be passed freely.
Pictograms display the respective walking directions while entering or leaving the EPA.
In case of "power off" the horizontal arm of this system folds down and is put back in position automatically after "power on".
The automatic folding down of the arm provides a safety function as well as a possibility to let several persons pass at once, e.g. at the end of the working day.
