This data protection declaration informs you about the scope of processing of your personal data (hereinafter referred to as "data").


B. Data processing

The following table lists the data concerned, the purposes of processing, the legal bases, the recipients and the transfers to third countries:

  1. Log file

    We keep a record of your visit to our websites.
    The following data is processed in this respect: the name of the website visited, the date and time of the visit, the volume of data transmitted, the browser type and version, the operating system you are using, the referring url (the website previously visited), your IP address and the requesting provider.
    This is necessary to ensure the security of the website.
    We process the data adequately on the basis of our legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
    The log file will be deleted within seven fourteen days, unless the data are required in order to elucidate or prove offences discovered during the retention period.

  2. Accommodation

    All data to be processed in connection with the operation of this website are stored in the context of hosting.
    This is necessary in order to allow the operation of the website.
    We process the data adequately on the basis of our legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

  3. Making contact

    If you contact us, your data (name, contact details, according to the information you have provided) and your message will be processed solely for the purpose of handling and managing your request.
    We process these data in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the RGPD or Article 6(1)(f) of the RGPD for the purpose of processing your request.

  4. Newsletter

    In order to provide you with regular information about our company and our offers, we offer you the opportunity to subscribe to a newsletter.
    By registering for the newsletter, we process the data you have provided (e-mail address and other optional information).
    The sending of the newsletter by registration is done on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

    To keep proof of the registration process in accordance with legal requirements, your registration is recorded.
    Thus, the time of registration and your IP address are recorded.

  5. Purchasing process

    We process your order data in order to process the sales contract. The data are processed in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.
    We will forward your details to the company in charge of the delivery.
    Insofar as this is necessary for the processing of the contract, we will also pass on your e-mail address or telephone number to the company responsible for the delivery in order to agree on a delivery date (notification).

    We forward your transaction data (name, order date, payment method, date of dispatch and/or date of receipt, amount and beneficiary, bank details or credit card data, if applicable) to the payment service provider responsible for payment processing.

  6. Website analysis and marketing

    In order to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies. These are small packets of data stored on your device and shared with other providers. Some of the cookies we use are deleted immediately after closing the browser ("session cookies"). Other cookies remain stored on the device and make it possible to recognise your browser the next time you visit ("persistent cookies").

    You can delete all cookies stored on your device and set your browser to prevent cookies from being saved.
    In this case, you may have to make certain settings each time you visit this website and accept reduced performance of certain functions.
    We use cookies for the following features:

    1. Session id (Session cookies)
    2. Preferences (Remember me - Automatic login, language used)
    3. Analytics (Anonymous statistics, IPs are shortened, the last 2 IPv4 bytes are removed before storage on the Matedex server)
    4. Youtube (only if you click on a video to start playback)

  7. Integration of external content

    We use external dynamic content to optimize the presentation and offering of our website.
    When visiting the website, a request is automatically sent via an API to the server of the respective content provider.
    Within the scope of this request, certain log data (e.g. IP address of the user) is transmitted. The dynamic content is then transmitted to our website and represented there.
    We use external content for the following functionalities:

    YouTube video integration

    We have integrated videos from the YouTube portal of YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. on our website.
    San Bruno, CA 94066, United States ("YouTube").
    During playback of these videos, log data is transmitted to YouTube servers in the United States.
    This treatment is carried out because of our overriding legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our offer in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

C. Duration of data storage

We keep personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it is processed or until we revoke your consent that you have given.
Insofar as legal retention obligations must be complied with, certain data may be stored for up to 10 years, regardless of the purpose of use.


D. Your rights as a data subject

  1. Information

    On request, you can obtain free information at any time about all personal data stored about you.

  2. Correcting, deleting, restricting processing (blocking), contesting

    If you no longer agree with the storage of your personal data or if the data is no longer correct, we will delete or block your data on your instructions or make the necessary corrections (insofar as this is legally permissible). The same applies if we have to process data restrictively in the future.

  3. Restrictions

    Data that do not allow us to identify the data subject, e.g. where the data have been anonymised for analysis purposes, are excluded from the above-mentioned rights. It may be possible to provide information about this data or to delete, block, correct or pass it on to another company if you provide us with additional information enabling us to identify you.

  4. Exercising your rights as a data subject
